The Best Theatre Program in the Southeast. . .Brenau University has the top-ranked theatre program in the state of Georgia. The Gainesville Theatre Alliance is a professional training program in a liberal arts setting. We work with professional guest artists from all over the nation to provide the best theatre experience for our audiences and top notch theatre training for our students. Four mainstage productions, including WonderQuest: GTA for Young Audiences program, and four to eight Discovery Series productions per year provide our majors with a wide variety of hands-on, feet-on-the-stage experiences. The theatre major offers students a large variety of activities. This includes academic classroom training and valuable practical experience in all aspects of production. Brenau's program is part of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a professional theatre company that incorporates student, faculty, and community talent. Most performances take place at Hosch Theatre in Brenau's John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts; at Pearce Auditorium on the Brenau campus; and at the Ed Cabell Theatre at Gainesville College. Laboratory productions are staged in Brenau's Black Box Theatre and at Gainesville College. Whatever your goals are in theatre, we can help you attain them.
